Works Great

Everything just as I was expecting. Easy to put together.
Weed trimmer works great, even on thick grass, just a little slower and it works better for edging than my old gas trimmer. Would have been 5 stars except it takes 2 full batteries to do a typical "larger" front and back family yard. having 3 batteries was a BIG selling point for me, as I can do Edging one day, then blow away the trimmings and Hedge the next day.
Blower works good, not as powerfull as our electric, but adequate for the job.
Hedge trimmer works very well and 1 battery lasts long enough to complete all the hedges in front of the house.
For the $ you can't beat this set. Very Light and Easy to handle everything. My only complaint is the lack of battery run time with weed trimmer and also the blower.
I think as long as I don't let the yard work go too long, battery run time will work OK.

Great item

These tools are fantastic. I agree that they aren't the most powerful items on the planet, but they get the job done. They pack a good punch with a fully charged battery, and since there are 3 batteries, I haven't had to worry about running out of charge. The blower is strong enough for driveway sweeping, but I don't see it being very effective for whole yeard cleaning. The string trimmer is the main reason I bought this, and it hasn't let me down. The automatic feeder is great, no moure bouncing and prying to get the line fed correctly. And it has cut through everything I've put in front of it. I'd definitely recommend this to anyone.

FINALLY...BETTER THAN EXPECTED

We ordered the 18 volt Lawncare Center with some trepidation. WE've had good luck with the bigger Black & Decker cordless gear, like the mulching mower but - even with a relatively small yard, the smaller stuff didn't ast long...but...we took a shot. What a treat. First of all, the install...common sense, straight ahead and logical. The battery station and tool hangers go right up, very neat,thank you and on the wall and out of the way. Amazingly convenient...as is having three batteries on hand at any time. Sring Trimmer, Hedge Trimmer and Broom all more than enough power. ergonomically on target and get the job done...and at a bargain price. The CCC3000 now joins our Black and Decker 24 Volt lawnmower as an indispensible part of yard care.

Stay organized!

A simple but highly effective product. This is a definite must for the DIYer. Prior to the bucket boss, I would spend needless time looking for my tools. Now everything is conveniently located in one place. Note, you need to purchase bucket separately. Home Depot sells buckets for five bucks.

Cheap and handy until you truck it around

and it dumps your kit all over the truck bed. The Bucket Boss is a handy organizer for householders and weekenders, but a stout metal toolbox (e.g: Kennedy) or canvas bag (e.g: Gatemouth) or instrument case (e.g: Platt) will be more useful for most everyday workmen.

Get a handle...it holds a lot

Great layout, plenty of pockets for everything you need for the do it yourselfer or tradesmen. I have probably 50lbs of tools in the bucket and still have room for more. One suggestion is a handle for the bucket. Take some foam (like the stuff in bicycle pads) and cut it to length then zip tie both ends and cover with duct tape. I would give it 5 stars if it had a second tape ring and a second hammer loop and a cover.

Nice assortment, but crappy case

If you've got a Dremel tool, but too few bits, this is the set to have. This set really gives you the most for your money, as compared to the other, smaller, Dremel bit sets.

That said, I should point out that the case really sucks. I like stuff to be in (roughly) rectangular boxes for ease of storage. This case has a handle, which is nifty, but protrudes a few inches above the case. This means you can't stack anything above it.

Also, the poor design of the lids means they won't open all the way, nor will they stay open unles you pry them up with the blue inserts. If you pry the blue inserts up, you risk spilling the contents.

Oh, and this can be had at the "Wal" place for twenty pesos.

Why do people own gas mowers?

If you have a small yard (1/4 acre or less), this is a really great option for a lawn mower:

1. Cheap - Amazon will bleep out what I paid, but it is significantly less than an equivalent gas mower.

2. Quiet - I can carry on a conversation with my wife as I mow. It is about as loud as a hair dryer on the low setting. Seriously.

3. Light - It weighs approximately 15 pounds. Other than the actual blade, it seems to be made entirely of plastic, and that's a good thing. I can hose it down with no fear of rusting. I can mow slopes a lot easier than I ever could with my gas mower.

4. Starts and stops easily. It is essentially a switch that turns it on and off. When you let go of the handle, it immediately turns off. When you grab it again, it turns on. An idiot could run this thing.

5. Mows well - Granted it's not a bush hog. The grass will bind it up if it's a foot long, but if you mow every week or two, this thing cuts through grass like butter.

Very impressive little machine. No need to store gas, breathe fumes, or fix the engine. All positives in my book. If you aren't a gearhead, don't like the noise of mowers, and don't mind walking for 15 minutes to mow the yard, this mower makes a ton of sense.

Does the job.

The mower has enough power and is light enough to be manageable.
Using a cord is a pain, but I knew that before I bought it.
This is excellent for the small yard or the difficult access
areas. The lever for on/off is ridiculously flimsy....why do
they top off a nice mower with a thin, loose fitting lever
like that? Go figure. Recommend this mower.

Electric Mower

I like this mower. My dad purchased a Black and Decker electric mower years ago and he is still using it. This was my main reason for picking this brand. I like the lighter weight of this mower compared to a gas powered one, plus the ability to store it sideways when not in use to conserve room. That can't be done with a gas mower. The extension cord takes a little getting used to if your past experience is gas mowers but if you follow the instructions, it's relatively easy to mow. I also like that this machine is quieter than a gas mower, and no fumes.
